April 13 witnessed the successful conclusion of installation of two sets of Ion Cyclotron Range of Frequencies antennas (ICRF antenna) to ASDEX Upgrade Tokamak in Max Planck Institute of Plasma Physics located in Germany under the cooperation between Keye Company and ASIPP. This is the first time for KEYE company to provide overseas installation service for scientific devices to developed countries like Germany, which symbolizes a new stage KEYE company has strode up on.
ICRF antenna, a significant auxiliary heating device for ASDEX Upgrade Tokamak, is characterized by complicated and challenging pre-production development and research, strictly accurate installation (position accuracy to be controlled within ±0.5mm in poloidal and toroidal direction, angle tolerance controlled within ±0.5°), extremely stringent installation procedure (RCC-MR-RS7000) and acceptance criterion (RCC-MR-RC7000). At the Germany invitation, Keye Company dispatched three engineers, Fu Xiaohui, Ling Kun and Wan Yi, to Germany for assembling and commissioning of ICRF antennas.
Prior to installation, engineers learned various detailed instructions and strict standards, discussed with German engineers for assembling steps, designed and developed different types of jigs and tooling. By such way of cooperation, various challenges were overcome and detailed assembling procedures were finalized. In the whole process of installation, applicable standards and instructions were abided by, and operation and commissioning were carefully carried out. Finally, the installation work was accomplished a week early. German partner thought highly of scrupulous and earnest attitude shown by our engineer and high-quality ICRF antennas fabricated by Keye Company.
